Designing a building and seeing it through completion can take years. Designing a cocktail takes much less time than that and making it takes literally a few minutes, so I enjoy it as another medium for creative expression. Aside from the appeal of creating a delicious beverage, I also find it fascinating how food and drinks are intrinsically intertwined with human history and what role they played in shaping it. After years of studying classic and modern cocktails, reading about the evolution of beverages and their ingredients, and perfecting my own recipes, I developed a great appreciation of this form of culinary arts and how sharing it brings people together.
