Cornell University Core Design Studio project of dwelling / office / gallery creatively approaches building's circulation, ADA requirements and topography integration. The idea for this project started with a collection of neckties. Project developed further into a gallery hosting this collection and a dwelling hosting the gallery itself. The house belongs to two brothers working in fashion industry hence the program consists of the gallery and work space as the core of the building and two residences flanking to its sides. Two separate lifestyles merge together in the collaborative work space metaphorically resembling the knot of a necktie where two ends of one entity come together.
